Customer data done right, by the person you hired.

Tidewise Digital is the independent practice of Suvajit Pal, a solution architect with 17 years in data and marketing technology. I design and deliver customer data and journey solutions for enterprises, with deep expertise in Adobe Experience Platform, Journey Optimizer and Adobe Campaign, and an independent view of the wider martech stack. You work directly with me from the first workshop to the final handover.

Data Journeys Outcome

The principles behind every engagement

Platforms change every year. These don't. They decide what I recommend, what I build and what I turn down.

  • Outcomes before architecture

Every schema, audience and journey traces back to a business result we agree on in week one. If it doesn't move that result, it doesn't get built.

  • The senior person does the work

The consultant who scopes your project is the one who designs and builds it. No handoffs to a junior team after the contract is signed.

  • Trustworthy data first

Identity, consent and data quality come before activation. Personalising on shaky data costs more than waiting a few weeks to get it right.

  • Leave your team stronger

Documentation, runbooks and hands-on training are part of the scope, not extras. Success means your team can run and extend the platform without me.

  • Honest about fit

If a feature, licence, platform or project isn't right for you, I'll say so, even when the better answer is a different tool or less work for me.

Where I can help

Deepest in the Adobe Experience Cloud data and journey stack, with a platform-neutral view of the data and martech ecosystem around it.

Solution architecture and data design

The blueprint that decides whether everything built on top of it works.

XDM schema design, identity resolution and merge policies, integration with existing systems, and streaming ingestion at enterprise scale.

Adobe Experience Platform and Real-Time CDP

A customer data foundation your marketing and analytics teams can rely on.

Data modelling, ingestion, governance and consent, segmentation, audiences and destinations.

Adobe Journey Optimizer and Offer Decisioning

Journeys and offers that respond to what customers actually do.

Journey design and orchestration, event and audience triggers, offer management and decisioning, and migration of existing offer and CVM processes.

Adobe Campaign Classic, Standard and v8

Campaign implementations that are fast to run and easy to maintain.

Implementation, workflow design and automation, upgrades to v8, and integration with Adobe Experience Platform and Journey Optimizer.

Architecture across the Adobe stack

Making Customer Journey Analytics, Target and Web SDK fit together with your data platform.

Multi-solution architecture, data collection design, and the integration points between products, with specialists brought in where deep hands-on work is needed.

Platform-neutral martech strategy

Independent advice on what to build, buy, fix or retire, whichever vendors are involved.

Current-state reviews, CDP and journey-platform evaluations, target architecture and roadmaps, integration with data warehouses, streaming and cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Kafka, Google Cloud and Azure, and hands-on team training.

Selected work

More than 10 greenfield Adobe implementations across telecom, hi-tech, retail, banking and insurance, four of them on Adobe Experience Platform and Journey Optimizer. Client names are kept confidential.

  • Major telecom operator

Lead solution architect on a move from legacy marketing platforms to the Adobe ecosystem. Migrated customer value management across wireless and landline, automating more than 1,000 micro-segments into Adobe Experience Platform offer segments, and used native Journey Optimizer features to remove the need for custom applications.

  • Global hi-tech brand

Designed a multi-level one-to-many model (user, subscriptions, devices) in Real-Time CDP using profile fragments and non-stitched merge policies, keeping data normalised inside XDM.

  • Large retail group

Built a common data integration layer across more than 500 brand websites, streaming customer data into a custom customer data platform built on Google's data stack.

  • Adobe Campaign accelerators

Created reusable Adobe Campaign components, including file-import automation and IP warm-up workflows, saving more than 600 hours of development effort across projects.

How an engagement runs

Every project follows the same route, sized to your scope. You see progress at each stage, not just at the end.

  1. Diagnose

    Typically 1 to 2 weeks

Stakeholder interviews and an audit of your data, platform setup and goals.

  2. Design

    Typically 2 to 3 weeks

Target architecture, data model and a prioritised roadmap, agreed before any build starts.

  3. Build

    Scoped to the roadmap

Implementation in short cycles, tested with your team and your real data.

  4. Hand over

    Built into every project

Documentation, runbooks and training, so the capability stays with you.

Suvajit Pal

Principal solution architect, Tidewise Digital

I have spent 17 years in software engineering, consulting and solution architecture, working on Adobe Campaign since 2017 and Adobe Experience Platform since 2020. That includes six years at Adobe as a senior consultant and technical architect, and later leading Adobe Experience Platform solution design at a global IT services firm.

Today I advise cross-functional teams on Adobe Experience Platform delivery for telecom and other industries. My strength is the part most projects underestimate: the data design and architecture that everything else depends on.

Based in Kolkata, India, working with clients across Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Americas, remotely and on site.
